Vancouver Whitecaps esports gamer finishes runner-up in FIFA North American playoffs



D.C. United esports gamer Mohamed (KingCJ0) Alioune Diop defeated Agit (AgitPower) Katilmis of the Vancouver Whitecaps in a penalty shootout Sunday to win the EA Sports activities FIFA 21 International Sequence North American Playoffs for PlayStation.
Each gamers had already certified for the FIFAe World Cup. However Sunday’s victory netted Diop, a local of Arlington, Va., the North American crown and US$40,000. Katilmis, from Laval, Que., collected $20,000 as runner-up.

The World Cup is scheduled for Aug. 6-8 in London.
Diop compelled an additional sequence after successful their first two-game showdown in time beyond regulation. He received the primary sport of the second sequence 2-0 solely to see Katilmis rating twice within the second sport to power OT after which the deciding shootout.

Katilmis is one among three esports gamers for the Whitecaps, together with Alex (Exraa) Gonzalez and Erfan (Talent Shack) Hosseini. He’s at present the top-ranked Canadian and fourth-ranked PlayStation participant in North America.
