Since the release of Rat’s single on April 21st, it’s been nearly impossible to avoid the song’s opening sentence on social media. And the rapper has been steadily promoting the song on his page, including a hilarious video of his friends rapping along to the lyrics. But he’s not the only Latto and TikTok users participating in the fun. Cardi B is riding her viral trend in an exciting way.
On May 31, Rat teased a remix of “Put It On Da Floor” (officially titled “Put It On Da Floor Again”) featuring Cardi B. And of course, the two joined the TikTok trend to announce their collaboration. “‘Put It on Da Floor’, now trying to do ‘Put It on Da Floor Again’. Remix this Friday,” Rat shared the clip across his social media pages. She then gestured to someone hiding under a black plastic bag, adding, “Peel off the vinyl on her that was pretending to be brand new,” before a decked-out Cardi B came out.

Latto’s viral moment on TikTok comes on the heels of a successful year so far for her. After releasing her second album, 777, in early 2022, she will kick off 2023 with a single, Lottery, featuring Le Cala, and high-profile collaborations with up-and-coming artists like Melo Bucks. Opened (“Boom Pt. 2″)”), Laura Brooke (“Don’t Play With It” remix), Tiakorin (“FreakyT” remix).
She is currently participating in the second round of Lizzo’s ‘The Special 2our’ and has been nominated for two Grammy Awards this year, for Best New Artist and Best Melodic Rap Performance. Rat’s press release for her “Put It On The Floor” reads, “The next chapter in Rat’s career kicks off with newer music, more vibrant visuals and greater energy from The Biggest. ’ was alluded to.
