Laura Whitmore’s new TV role after leaving Love Island was revealed on tonight’s episode of The One Show.
The presenter stars in husband Ian Sterling’s sitcom Buffering.

Speaking about working with his wife, Yiyin told the host Alex Jones45, and Jermaine Yen39: “I guess the great thing about doing comedy is that it’s collaborative, so everyone was throwing ideas at each other.
“Laura is a very funny person to begin with, so she definitely helped and fleshed out the character.
“We gave her a skeleton and she built it into this monster! Quite a frightening character.”

Buffering, which premiered in 2021, will be back on Monday, January 30th.
About the show, Ian describes his character as follows:
“He seems to think he’s destined for the better, and he’s pushed forward, and it’s backfired badly.
“He’s back in the world of children’s television, questioning that he’s approaching 30. I’ve gotten close to that in real life.
Laura announced she was quitting hosting Love Island last August.
According to an Instagram statement, the host said he found the production element “extremely difficult.”
“Just a reminder!” she wrote. “We will not be hosting the next series of Love Island. The show has some very difficult elements that cannot be changed due to the format, such as traveling to and from South Africa with conflicting new projects.
“I wish it was still possible, but please know that you will be kept safe.
“I was going to do just one series instead of Caroline, but it turned into three series. I hope you made Caroline proud.”
Laura has a very busy year ahead.
Fans can see her in a variety of projects, including the True Crime podcast with her husband.
