On May 5, Moloney released her debut album, Lucky. The night before, she gave her first opening performance of the Brooks & Dunn 2023 Reboot Tour in Kansas City, Missouri. Talk about a whirlwind. Thankfully, Spotify was there to capture what’s going on behind the scenes and what this moment means for her 25-year-old rising star.

POPSUGAR: What were your feelings leading up to the release of the album? And how do you feel now that the album has been released to the world?
Megan Moloney: These songs have been around me for a long time, so I was excited before the album came out. Now that it’s been released, I’m really happy to hear some of your favorite songs from the fans. I am so happy to be out!
PS: What has been your most memorable moment touring with Brooks & Dunn so far?
mm: i have a couple My first arena show was my first with Brooks & Dunn. We were in Kansas City and halfway through my third song all the lights in the arena went out. It was fun, but we got through it. Another favorite moment was when I heard everyone singing “Tennessee Orange” together in Little Rock. It was the loudest crowd ever.
PS: You’ve been candid about what it feels like to have a career taking off in your Spotify video. Still can’t believe this is your life now?
mm: absolutely. It’s all so surreal. I’m really happy to be able to write music that I love and have people who can relate and love it.
PS: What is it that fans may not know about you?
mm: You can recite the alphabet backwards and understand sign language.
PS: What are you most looking forward to next year?
mm: I’m really excited about our fall headliner tour. We can’t wait to play the album live in front of our fans and visit cities we’ve never been to!
