Love Island star criticizes ‘annoying’ 2023 casting, calls for ‘more variety’

Andrea Jane Bunker We wanted more variety in the cast of love islandas new Winter version started last night.

She added: “In my season they let me and Sharon in, which was nice.

“They didn’t have a single Asian on the show last season.”

“It’s just one of the things that bugs me. It’s like the producers haven’t learned from the previous line-up,” she added.

Andrea-Jane isn’t the only one to speak out on the issue recently. talk about this year’s line-upSeason 7 Priya Gopaldas commented:

“PS No, dropping someone a week before the finals is a catchphrase. It doesn’t count.”

last year, Sharon Gafka said: “It’s great to know that nearly 50% of the cast is diverse or has different backgrounds, but I don’t think there are any Asians in the original line-up.”

Sharon also mentioned body diversity, saying, “There are still medium and plus size people looking for love and they make great contestants on the show, so they still feel like they’re being overlooked.”
