The 35-hectare Singapore Sports activities Hub was constructed at a price of S$1.33 billion. Responding to questions from Members of Parliament, Mr Tong stated that there was a “confluence of a number of causes”, which led to the choice to terminate the partnership. 

“When it comes to getting a world-class sporting infrastructure … I feel we have now achieved that. Once we got down to redevelop the present Nationwide Stadium, the intent was to have a Sports activities Hub able to staging main occasions,” Mr Tong defined.

“And thru the PPP (public-private partnership), which labored properly, we have now now a world-class Sports activities Hub construction.
